Hello hello! It’s the second-last part of our amigurumi ballerina crochet along and it’s been so much fun seeing all your lovely crochet ballerinas taking shape. Today we’re going to have a relatively easy day. It will give those falling behind a chance to catch up. We will be making the arms on our dolls but we won’t sew them on just yet.
You should already have the legs, body, head, and hair ready for your amigurumi ballerina crochet doll at this point. If you’re just joining us for the first time today, please first go to:
This pattern is written in US terms and crocheted in continuous rounds, except where specified otherwise.
Sl st: slip stitch
SC: single crochet
INV DEC: invisible decrease
INC: two SC in the same stitch
BLO: back loops only
HDC: Half double crochet
HDC INC: two HDC in the same stitch
Arms (make 2)
Use skin colour yarn. Stuff the arms lightly at the bottom and leave the rest of the arm unstuffed.
Round 1: 7 SC in a magic circle (7)
Round 2-17 (16 rounds): SC around (7)
Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing. Don’t sew the arms onto your doll just yet. We will do that in our final segment, as it’s easier to add the skirt before the arms are on.
See Part 6 here.
So that’s it for today! See you on Friday for the final part of the CAL – we can’t wait to see all your adorable ballerinas. Plus, we have a little surprise for you on Friday so stay tuned!
