Crochet a Wedding Couple that is fully customisable!
Summer is here which means that it’s time for wedding season! Introducing our adorable crochet bride and groom dolls. Part of our Kozu Palm Pals series of small crochet dolls, these amigurumi bride and groom dolls are just 4.5 inches in height. They work up super fast (a couple of hours each!) and make a wonderful keepsake that can be treasured forever.
An amigurumi wedding couple was one of the first ideas that I had jotted down when we first started Chai Coffee Crochet. It took nearly three years but our adorable bride and groom have finally arrived – and I think they were worth the wait, don’t you?
I love the sweetheart neckline on the bride’s dress – and her hair is really gorgeous. (Confession: I was looking through a friend’s wedding photos and I loved the look of her hairstyle which I totally copied for this bride – haha!) And the groom? I mean, that tiny tie is just the sweetest!
I love this pattern because it’s really versatile. These wedding couple dolls would be great to crochet as a quick bridal shower gift, they would make super cute crochet wedding cake toppers, or you could even frame them in a shadowbox as a special crocheted keepsake for the happy couple.
Because they are part of the Kozu Palm Pals series, you can customise them to match your gift recipients. The series has a number of different hairstyles for dolls. You could even crochet a different dress for your bride from the other patterns in our series. Have fun with it because there’s nothing more precious than a thoughtful handmade gift to mark a special day!

Frequently Asked Questions
How can I make personalised crochet bride and groom dolls?
You can crochet personalised bride and groom dolls by varying the hair caps from our Kozu Palm Pals series of crochet dolls. There are a bunch of different styles and we think you will find the perfect one for a mini-me crochet bride and groom doll! If you want to vary the clothes, for the bride we have a few dress options in our crochet dress up dolls series or even some of our built in clothing options such as our crochet graduation dolls. For the groom, you could switch out his tie for a bowtie from our Viktor the crochet Vampire pattern.
How do you crochet bride and groom cake toppers?
You can crochet this pattern as bride and groom cake toppers – which would be such a lovely addition to a bridal shower cake! Simply insert a wooden skewer into the bottom of each doll and then insert the skewer into the cake. After the party is over, you can gift the dolls to the wedding couple as a memorable keepsake!
How can I crochet large bride and groom dolls?
You can increase the size of your bride and groom dolls by using thicker yarn and a larger hook. They would look super cute in blanket yarn, don’t you think?
How can I crochet smaller bride and groom dolls?
You prefer the dolls to be smaller? No problem! Try using thinner yarn and a smaller hook. You could try sports weight yarn – or even crochet thread (OMG, tiny versions of these two cuties in thread would UNDO me!).
Can I get access to your patterns without ads?
Ads can be frustrating. We get that. But we do need to make money to support the blog and ads do that for us. If you would prefer an ads-free, print-friendly printable pattern, you can buy it in our Ravelry store.
