No Sew Crochet Fish Amigurumi Free Pattern

Small Crochet Fish Keychain Free Pattern

We’re excited to share this free pattern for you for how to crochet a small fish. This tiny amigurumi fish was inspired by my love for the ocean. As kids we went to the beach in Karachi every weekend – and I just love beach holidays. A few years ago, I decided to try scuba diving to be able to see more of the amazing ocean life up close! As it turns out, scuba is not really my thing (I got certified but I just didn’t love the feeling and haven’t done it since). So, I guess when you can’t have real fish, why not crochet a fish instead?

This small rainbow crochet fish also makes for a super cute crochet luggage tag for your next beach holiday! I recently made one as a crochet keychain for my brother for his birthday because I wanted to make him something for his birthday and I couldn’t figure out what – and who can’t use a cute small amigurumi fish keychain, right? (Check out our collection of crochet keychains!). This little fish would also be great quick sellers for your next crochet craft fair (see our craft fair tips and lessons).

About this No Sew Amigurumi Fish Pattern

If you’re anything like me, sewing is the worst part of making amigurumi. I often leave the sewing of my projects to the end (and sometimes they stay like that for days!!!). So I’m so excited that this fish is a no sew amigurumi pattern. The pattern is worked in one piece. The fins are added on but crocheting into your worked fish – making the pattern 100% no sew!

You can crochet this fish in under 30 minutes – making it a perfect last minute gift! Plus, I love quick amigurumi projects like this because they’re so easy to work up on the go – they don’t require too many materials (the materials can easily fit into my purse!) and can be finished in one sitting. I find little projects like these to be the perfect way to pass time while waiting for an appointment.

I also love that it can be used as a scrap yarn amigurumi project. I have lots of little balls of yarn lying around that I can’t use for anything larger so this crochet rainbow fish is the perfect way to use them up!
