Frog Crochet Baby Rattle Free Pattern
Flippy the Frog crochet baby rattle is a really quick crochet baby gift! I don’t know about you, but I. Love. Frogs. Seriously. They are just so cute and quirky – and despite the dread that the word “frog” gives me as a crocheter (“rip-it, rip-it, rip-it!”), they’re actually one of my favourite amigurumi animals to crochet. So, after I designed Flippy the Frog, I knew I had to make a cute frog crochet baby rattle to match! And I’m so glad I did because I just love this little guy!
This free pattern for an amigurumi frog rattle is part of our new baby gift series and makes for an adorable last-minute crochet baby shower gift. It’s a really simple pattern so it makes for a really cute and easy crochet baby shower gift for beginners. One of my favourite things about this amigurumi frog baby rattle pattern is the stem. The balls make it easy to grip and the stem stays firm when stuffed. Plus, the design allows for a fun palette of colours. The baby rattle stem can be customised to any colour that you want to complement the colour theme of the baby nursery (or just a set of colour that you think is fun!). A small tip – I usually put the colours in a gradient from light to dark, often with a contrasting colour at the end to give it a pop of colour.
This crochet frog baby rattle can also be paired with the our Flippy the amigurumi frog pattern from our Juna Series of free amigurumi animal patterns for a really cute crochet baby gift set.
