Small Crochet Fox (Free Pattern): Kozu Palm Pets

Our small crochet fox is the newest addition to our Kozu Palm Pets series of small crochet animals. Foxes are the cutest small woodland animals and in mini size, our little fox is even sweeter! He’s the classic rust coloured fox – but if you want to mix it up, you can crochet him in gray for a gray fox (or even a wolf!).

About this Small Crochet Fox Pattern

You can crochet this small fox in just a couple of hours. It turns out to be approximately 4 inches tall using DK yarn and a 2.75mm crochet hook. The pattern is quite simple to make. The only part that may be challenging for a beginner is the colour changes between rounds in the muzzle. The trick there is to leave a little bit of give when taking on the next colour so that it doesn’t get to tight and change the shape of your fox’s muzzle.

Want to crochet a larger fox friend? No problem! Use super bulky plush yarn and this guy grows to be 11 inches – the perfect size to cuddle! We recently made a plushie fox as the grand prize for a lucky draw to get people to our stall at a large craft fair and the kids LOVED it!

Crochet Fox Pattern Notes

  • Difficulty level: Easy
  • This pattern is written in US terms
  • This fox is crocheted in continuous rounds unless specified otherwise. Use a stitch marker on the first stitch of every round so that you don’t lose track of the start of your round.
  • This fox was made using DK yarn. However, you may use any yarn with the relevant hook (usually, for amigurumi you go down 2-3 sizes from that recommended on the yarn label).
  • This is a low-sew amigurumi pattern. The legs, body, arms, and head are all crocheted in. You must first crochet the arms before continuing onto the body.
